TowHaulProductionExpansion FinalRelease

On Oct. 8, TowHaul broke ground on an 18,000-square-foot expansion of its production facility in Belgrade, Montana. U.S. Sen. Tim Sheehy joined TowHaul and Ground Force Worldwide leadership and employees for the ceremony at the company’s home base.

The expansion will grow TowHaul’s production floor from 32,000 square feet to about 50,000. The extra space will let the company build more equipment, keep up with growing demand from the mining industry, and produce its new 685-ton lowboy trailer and multi-purpose gooseneck.

“Today is a big day for TowHaul, marking the beginning of a multimillion-dollar expansion of our facility and the next frontier in mining equipment mobility with our 685-ton-capacity lowboy that is going to be built in this very facility,” said Chris Friedel, TowHaul vice president and general manager. “This also represents an outstanding opportunity for our community, not just in financial investment but in terms of growing an employee base of good-paying manufacturing jobs.”

TowHaul’s team will grow along with the building. Once the project is done, the company expects to add 12 to 18 permanent jobs in fabrication, welding, paint and other manufacturing roles.

Sen. Sheehy spoke about the growth of manufacturing jobs in the U.S. “Making things in America is cool again,” he said. “We’re building things here in America, on American soil, with American jobs again. The number of factories we’re seeing being built in America and here in Montana is awesome. It’s inspiring and exciting.”

Construction will take place over the next 12 to 18 months, and the expansion should be finished in early 2028.
