Gooseneck pick-up hook shells (half shells) are one of the most common wear items on a TowHaul Gooseneck. They function as a protective barrier between the Gooseneck hooks and the Lowboy pick-up shaft. When replaced as recommended (as part of the 1,000 planned maintenance kit), they extend the life of the hooks and the Lowboy pick-up shaft, helping to avoid costly repairs.
The Lower Pick-up Hooks of your TowHaul Gooseneck are the primary connection between the Gooseneck and the Lowboy. Maintaining the Proper profile of the Lower Pick-up Hooks is crucial. To assist our customers with this, TowHaul has developed a “Hook profile guage” to help determine what repairs may be required.
