For several years, the CAN (computer area network) connection between the truck and the lowboy was done with a Deutsch plug. This connection feeds information back to the cab of the prime mover and also controls the lighting systems. While this is a good connector, we believe we have found something that is better suited for connecting and disconnecting several times per day.
Without sacrificing performance, we have gone to an Anderson plug that is robust, simpler to use, and easier to maintain. In addition, this plug does not require any special tooling.
